Auli and Chopta are often visited separately, but combining them creates a more complete Uttarakhand holiday.
Auli is located in Chamoli district and is known for skiing, mountain views and open meadows. The Chamoli District Administration describes Auli as a high-altitude destination that can be reached from Joshimath by road or ropeway. The destination offers views of major Himalayan peaks, including Nanda Devi, Kamet and Dunagiri.
Chopta has a quieter and more natural character. It is surrounded by forests and provides access to Tungnath, one of the Panch Kedar temples. The trek continues to Chandrashila, a summit known for wide Himalayan views.
This package is suitable for travellers who want more than a conventional hill-station holiday. It combines long scenic drives, religious sites, snow activities, nature walks and a memorable Himalayan trek.

This period is suitable for pleasant weather, green scenery and trekking. Tungnath Temple generally opens during the main pilgrimage season, but the official date should be checked before travel.

July to August
The monsoon brings fresh greenery but also creates a risk of landslides, falling stones, slippery trails and road closures.
Travellers should avoid trekking during heavy rain and follow all government advisories.
September to November
This is one of the best periods for clear mountain views, photography and trekking. The weather becomes colder as November approaches.
December to March
Winter is popular for snow experiences in Auli and Chopta. Skiing may be available in Auli when there is sufficient snow.
Tungnath Temple remains seasonally closed, and the trek can require winter equipment or a qualified local guide. Road access can also change after heavy snowfall.
